About Us

Nowhere unites traditions, art and cuisine from all over the world like Katara Cultural Village. Found between West Bay and The Pearl, Katara hosts international concerts, exhibitions, and festivals year-round to celebrate the diversity which is on offer in Qatar. Aside from holding major events, one of Katara’s main goals is to educate. Music classes, workshops, symposiums, and competitions are running all year round, meaning there’s always something happening regardless of when you visit. Many believe that the Cultural Village is home to some of Doha’s most beautiful architecture. The mosques, authentic Arab pigeon houses and stunning travertine amphitheatrenever lose their magnificence, and promise to impress every time you set your eyes on them. The buildings have been designed to mirror Qatar heritage. With the city, awash with towering glass skyscrapers, Katara harks back to a time when Doha was more traditional in its appearance and feel. The Arabesque style structures are protected from the sun beneath sail shadings, giving the entire area a unique and quirky charm. Aside from the impressive architecture, Katara is home to some of the best restaurants in the City. Local Arab, Far-Eastern and contemporary cuisines can all be found along the main thoroughfare, all providing stunning sea views to help and complement the award-winning food. However, if you’re not looking for a day steeped in culture, and are instead looking for a fun day out, there are a huge range of activities located along the beach, including water skiing, knee boarding and boat rides.
